Dr. Gene McCoy received his D.D.S. Degree from Marquette University in 1967. As a Senior Class President he was chosen student clinician of the year and received and outstanding achievement award from the International College of Dentists.

He has conducted a private practice in San Francisco, California since that time.

 

Dr. McCoy is an Honored Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry where he served as Chairman of the Ethics Committee for eight years and is past President of the Western District.

 

Dr. McCoy has been a faculty member in the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics of the School of Dentistry, University of California, San Francisco, where he helped establish the post-graduate implant course.

 

Although Dr. McCoy emphasizes restorative dentistry in his private practice, his private research and lectures focus on the etiology of TMD and the longevity of teeth. Findings and conclusions from his research projects have been published and presented at major dental meetings throughout the United States, Japan, France, China, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Germany.

 

Dr. McCoy continues to lecture extensively to the professional dental community. He is a visiting lecturer at Howard University, Washington D.C; Tsurumi University, Yokohama, Japan; and Peking University School of Stomatology, Bejing China.
